We live in an age where success is measured by how visibly productive we are. An age where we can achieve anything we want, if we simply set our minds to it.
But what if this mindset causes more harm than good? What if that constant expectation to be successful affects us negatively? What then, for those of us who are not ‘successful’? Who fall out of the mould? Who can’t keep up with the rat race? Who can’t attain that ‘picture-perfect’ life?
Who this is for…
Muslim-raised women and non-men age 18-40
You are burnt out from always feeling inadequate from having to constantly perform and to be economically productive
You feel like you’re not living the perfect insta-worthy life
This is NOT for…
Men and anyone not raised Muslim
You accept this culture of toxic work productivity — always needing to be working
Thinking to overcome the problem is a matter of mindset — strength, resilience, and working hard for its sake
Slots available: 20 participants. This keeps the support group intimate so that everyone has a chance to express themselves. Refreshments and prayer spaces will be provided. Let us know if you need a childminder.
